101 Reasons to Love India

Although there are a million reasons why I love My India, I will share some today that makes me a very proud Indian. India is a nation loved by people the world over but to me the history, splendour, spirituality and diversity of this place make me smile. From the beaches of the south to the incredible Himalayas of the north, they are to name a few reasons why I love India so much.

I feel lucky to be born in India, with India running through my veins. The most attractive and distinct features of this amazing nation are its cultural and religious faces. Nowhere in the world, there is so much diversity in festivities and celebrations. In India, everywhere you turn , you’ll find some incredible celebration happening, whether it’s a wedding procession or some religious do , at all hours of the day.

The ancient architecture of all kinds, the heritage and the agrarian touch is exceptional in India . The ancient history of India dates back to thousands of years with so many architectural structures reminding us that India has a rich background. There are numerous UNESCO listed iconic and heritage monuments all over India which attract people from all over the world .

With over 1.3 billion population the people of India live with pride in whatever they do. Just stepping away from overcrowded cities makes you realise there is more to India than meets the eye. People live in harmony minding their business and are happy and content with what they have.

India is about peace and spirituality . Of course, there is political unrest or organised demonstrations but deep down, India is the leading nation in deeply devotional nature of Indian culture which is found everywhere, from the beautiful temples to the locals quoting a verse or two from the Gita .

The colours make India unique and stand out from the rest of the world . The colourful clothes , the colourful festivities, the colourful food and the colourful lifestyles are very much a part of our unique culture. People from every nation dote on our uniqueness.

I love the fact that India has it all — beautiful beaches , snowy mountains , colourful culture , amazing rainforests, incredible national parks , unique animals , desert and food to die for , the list is endless. Basically everything you could fit on a plate.

Indians are extremely passionate about anything they do and sports is one of them . The competitive nature encourages them to outshine on the global platform and is quite incredible too. India has produced world-class sporting heroes who have done the nation extremely proud.

The people of India are friendly and extremely helpful. You can rely on the Indian to find something humorous, even in very challenging situations. Neighbours are friends, watching out for each other and helping each other when they can. They live like brothers from different mothers.

The Indian food stands out the most , with its aroma and gastronomical values . People just love Indian food. The majority of the households have at least one Indian meal a day. Even the foreigners pluck up the courage to explore the culinary curiosity.

There are so many reasons to love India . With the nation celebrating the 75th anniversary of its independence, it's only right to remind ourselves why India is such a beautiful yet intriguing country. It’s advisable to step out of your comfort zones and explore this vast nation and it’s guaranteed you’ll need more than a single lifetime to see and experience everything.
